ABOUT the ARTIST
Jo Crawford BAHons, PGDip,
PGCE
Jo Crawford graduated with a first class honours
degree in fine art from Glasgow School of Art
in 1990, followed by a Post Graduate diploma in Printmaking
in 1991.
She moved to Aberdeen in 1992 where she tutored
in printmaking at Peacock Visual Arts whilst continuing to produce
her own work and exhibiting widely.
She has been the recipient of numerous prizes
including:
The Royal Scottish Academy Student prize for
Printmaking 1990 and 1991.
The John and Anna Laurie Bequest 1990.
The Saltire Society Purchase Award 1990.
The Friends of Glasgow School of Art Fine Art
Prize 1990.
The Royal Scottish Academy Prize for
Printmaking 1991.
Jo has been teaching Art and Design in secondary
schools in Scotland for eleven years but has since moved to the
Highlands of Scotland where she is concentrating on producing
landscape and seascape as well as still life paintings inspired
by her surroundings.
