Gavin Maxwell, ("Ring of Bright Water") who latterly lived on the small island, Eilean Ban, just off Kyleakin. The visitor centre there provides boat trips to see otters, seals and other wildlife.
The whole area around Loch Duich is a wildlife haven and during your stay
you may well see red deer, otters, pine martens, golden eagle, seals, herons
etc. Thoroughly recommended for keen birdwatchers. Plockton is
